What’s a Class A CDL
A *Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)* lets you drive the big rigs—the ones you see hauling massive trailers down I-10. With a Class A CDL, you’re cleared to operate vehicles with a **gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more**, provided the trailer is over 10,000 pounds. That means everything from 18-wheelers to livestock haulers and tanker trucks is fair game.
At **Louisiana Truck Driving Training**, our mission is to *keep it fun and simple*. We cut through the clutter of technical jargon and give you what you need to succeed—whether you're chasing a high-paying job or a lifelong career on the road. Our training isn’t about memorizing textbooks—it’s about mastering real skills in real situations.
